Entry requirements

Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Sciences (Information Technology) requires you to have either

  • a Bachelor of Information Sciences, or an equivalent qualification, having achieved a B grade average over the 300-level majoring courses.

An equivalent qualification will be considered as a bachelor’s degree followed by a Graduate Diploma in Information Sciences, having achieved a B grade average over the 300-level courses.

Postgraduate Diploma in Information Sciences (Information Technology) structure

You will follow a flexible course of study, consisting of courses totalling at least 120 credits at 700-level from the Schedule, including attendance at block courses, workshops, tutorials, or laboratories as required.

Requirements

Time limits for completion for eligibility for Distinction or Merit

Your 120 credit postgraduate diploma will carry the award of Distinction, if completed at a superior standard (equivalent to First Class Honours), or Merit (equivalent to Second Class Honours, Division One) if completed within one year of first enrolling in full-time study or within three years of first enrolling in part-time study.

Maximum time to completion

All requirements must be completed within four years of first enrolling in the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Sciences.
