Entry requirements

Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science requires you to have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, or an equivalent qualification.

International students requiring a study visa and studying onshore in New Zealand will not be able to include courses from the Veterinary Medicine endorsement in their programme of study.

Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science (Veterinary Epidemiology) structure

You will follow a flexible course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 120 credits of courses at 700-level or above and may include attending field trips, studios, workshops, tutorials, and laboratories as required.

Requirements

Time limits for completion for eligibility for Distinction or Merit

Your 120 credit postgraduate diploma will carry the award of Distinction, if completed at a superior standard (equivalent to First Class Honours), or Merit (equivalent to Second Class Honours, Division One) if completed within one year of first enrolling in full-time study or within three years of first enrolling in part-time study.

Maximum time to completion

All requirements must be completed within four years of first enrolling in the Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science.
