Massey’s Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Counselling and Guidance) will develop or advance your knowledge and skills in counselling and guidance practice.
Find out more about the Postgraduate Diploma in Education parent structure.
On the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Counselling and Guidance) you’ll develop theoretical knowledge relevant to effective counselling and guidance practice and roles. Whether you’re already in a counselling and guidance role or considering moving into this field, this postgraduate diploma will advance your learning.
This diploma is also the first step if you’re thinking of taking the advanced professional qualification, Master of Counselling Studies, and gaining professional membership to practise as a counsellor.
You’ll develop knowledge and abilities to prepare you to do research relevant to your existing or proposed practice and profession.
Massey is ranked in the world’s top 150 universities for education in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking.
Please note that the Postgraduate Diploma in Education does not qualify you to be a teacher in New Zealand. If you want to be a teacher, you will also need to take a postgraduate teaching qualification. Please explore your options in our education pathways tool.
