My main research interests are in the general area of Biostatistics, especially the use of Bayesian methods in Epidemiology. I have also published in other areas of statistics including calibration, survival analysis, experimental design and small-area estimation. I have worked on several consulting projects with local industries and government agencies, including poverty estimation projects overseas with UN World Food Programme and the World Bank in Asia. I collaborate widely with scientists in a range of disciplines, but particularly with the Veterinary Epidemiologists at Massey’s Epicentre. I am currently a member of the OiE Collaborating Centre for Diagnostic Test Validation Science
My main research interests are in the general area of Biostatistics, especially the use of Bayesian methods in Epidemiology. I have particular expertise in Bayesian latent class analysis for diagnostic test data.
I also have expertise in Small Area Estimation, particularly with regard to poverty mapping.
