An introductory environmental course describing the plants, animals, geology, and landscapes of New Zealand. Emphasis is placed on assembly of the biota, interrelations between the physical and biotic environments, and the influence and place of people.

  2. Describe the geophysical nature and formation of New Zealand.
  3. Locate and interrogate appropriate information resources relevant to New Zealand’s Environment.
  4. Select appropriate analytical tools useful for environmental science.
  5. Describe the issues involved with the interaction of people and the natural environment.
