Protein Xray Diffraction
Recent crystallographic installations include a microfocus Xray generator (Rigaku MicroMax 007 with Osmic confocal optics) and image plate detector (Rigaku RAxis IV++) with an Oxford Cryosystems 700 series Low-Temperature device
700 MHz and 500 MHz Bruker Avance spectrometers were installed in 2004 to augment the existing 400 MHz Bruker spectrometer and 200 MHz wide bore Oxford imaging magnet. A 700 MHz cryoprobe, which increases sensitivity up to 4x, was added in 2005
Researchers interested in NMR access should contact Pat Edwards. External use of the 700 MHz spectrometer is especially encouraged. As New Zealand's highest field NMR spectrometer, it should be considered a nation-wide resource (see message to potential NMR users).
