Massey University’s high quality nursing programmes are nationally and internationally recognised, preparing our graduates to be highly competent and skillful nursing professionals able to practice in a range of settings.
Since its launch in 1973, the nursing programme at Massey has seen thousands of people complete undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, making us the leaders in nursing and health service provision.
The Nursing Council of New Zealand approves our programmes. Our experienced staff is committed to creating a supportive learning environment, providing the best possible experience and clinical expertise for nursing students at all levels.
Professor Huntington has conducted internationally recognised research into nursing and particularly into the nursing workforce.
In 2012 she was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the New Year Queens’ Honours for services to nursing research. She is New Zealand Director of both the Nurses and Midwives e-Cohort Study, and the Graduate Nurses Study, in collaboration with Australia, Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
