Massey University is New Zealand’s defining University and has a long and proud tradition of academic and research excellence. Among tertiary institutions in Aotearoa and the South Pacific, Massey is unique.
It draws on a rich history that mixes leadership in agrifood, creativity and innovation across campuses, located in Auckland, Manawatū and Wellington, with pre-eminence in distance education and a strong record of engagement with developing countries and major international organisations.
Massey staff have enabled the University to achieve a number of New Zealand firsts. The first to offer a Master of Business Administration, the first Journalism School, the first Māori Visual Arts qualification, New Zealand’s only Veterinary School and only university-based School of Aviation. Our New Zealand Wildlife Health Centre is ranked as one of the best in the world. Massey has international recognition in disciplines as diverse as Finance, Agriculture, Food Technology, Design, Science and Engineering, Education, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Aviation.
In recent years New Zealanders have been increasingly using their unique Kiwi world view to achieve great things, globally. Massey is playing a central role in this by aiming to be the engine of this 'new' New Zealand of the 21st Century.
In selecting Massey University, students can be assured their qualification will be internationally recognised. I want to assure you of Massey's commitment to delivering a high-quality learning experience.
