My work is very much focused on plant secondary metabolites and potential to alter or prevent disease. I am particular interested in New Zealand grown plant food phytochemical profiles. .
My work centres on New Zealand grown edible plants and agricultural plant waste. These sources will be analyzed for bioactive molecultes that may play a role in health. A variety of biological models are used from cultured human cells, bacterial, and fungi. If you have an interesting plant and it is grown in New Zealand please contact me for a discussion
